From challenging walks on the South West Coast path, to leisurely strolls in the scenic countryside around Bude and Widemouth, our self catering holiday cottages offer an ideal base from which to explore the local area.

For breathtaking cliff walks on the Cornish coastal path, from an easy stroll, to walking on challenging rugged terrain with steep inclines, walkers will experience dramatic sea views and amazing geological formations.

From the high cliffs you can often catch a glimpse of dolphins, seals and the occasional basking shark. From May to July wild flowers, heather and gorse add a blaze of colour to the cliff pathway.

In Bude one can take a peaceful stroll along the canal with the only canal lock and seagate to the open sea in Britain. ‘The Wier’, situated two miles along the towpath rom the Sea Lock, is a restaurant that serves an extensive range of refreshments during the day and a la carte evening menu, a perfect place to rest and replenish your energy with before the return journey!

A short drive from Bude are Upper and Lower Tamar lakes.These two lakes offer a some superb walks in the quiet countryside. There are picnic areas, sailing and fishing. During the season, there is a pleasant tearoom.

The North coast of Cornwall has something for all walkers. From strenuous hikes along the rugged coast path to gentle srolls across peaceful countryside.
